JAKE VINCENT WINS CHANCELLOR’S AWARD FOR UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH

It was announced on Friday May 15th that Jake Vincent had been selected to be the recipient of a 2015 Chancellor’s Award for Undergraduate Research. This year’s competition yielded more than 100 projects, and Jake’s project was one of only 15 chosen for this special recognition. Jake will receive his award from Chancellor Blumenthal at a special lunchtime event on Friday June 5th. The project which earned the awarad grew out of Sandy Chung‘s Poetry and Language course (Ling 108) and it deals with Rhyme in the Chamorro language poetry of Joaquin Flores Borja (And what it tells us about poetry and language).
