SUMMER INTERNSHIPS AT USC’S INSTITUTE FOR CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY
Beth Ann Hockey reports that the Institute for Creative Technology (ICT) at USC is now accepting applications for its summer internship program. The ICT develops simulation technologies for use in a range of training and tutoring environments; they have a strong natural language and spoken dialogue group. The summer internship program, which is open to graduate students and undergraduates, provides internships of 6 weeks or longer for students with the relevant skills and potential. Students interested in applying for internships in the natural language and spoken dialogue group should have computer skills (especially in Language Engineering) and solid training in linguistics. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2008. More detailed information can be found here.
