OAKLAND TEACHING FELLOWS
The Oakland Teaching Fellows is an organization which is dedicated to eliminating educational inequality within the Oakland Unified School District by bringing in mid-career professionals and well-qualified recent graduates to teach full-time in the most challenged schools of the District. OTF contacted us to encourage students who will have graduated by June 2008 to consider applying to work in the program. They are particularly looking for outstanding candidates to teach math, science, special education, Spanish, bilingual education and physical education in high-need classrooms throughout the District. Limited positions may also be available in other high-need subject areas. OTF is now accepting applications for the Fall 2008 cohort; the application deadline is March 31 and you can apply online here. More detailed information is available here.
