Workshop on Formal Linguistics and The Measurement of Grammatical Complexity

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Washington, Seattle, is organizing a conference next March on the topic above. According to organizers, “The basic idea is to probe whether ‘formal linguistics’ (broadly defined) has anything to contribute to the topic of relative overall complexity of languages.” Find out more here.
