ALUMNA NATALIE KATZ ON PURSUING LAW

Natalie Katz graduated, magna cum laude and with honors in the major, at the end of Winter Quarter 2018. She is one of the increasingly large number of undergraduate majors in Linguistics to pursue a career in law and she was admitted to the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California (USC) for the academic year 2018-19. Having survived her first semester in law school in style, Natalie sent in this report:

I was very happy to have a few weeks off after wrapping up my first semester at USC—things ended chaotically, but successfully. On my very last day of finals, in fact, I ran into Deniz Rudin for the first time. So far, I am enjoying this semester a lot and am increasingly leaning towards pursuing a career in criminal defense. LA is finally feeling like home, and while I miss much of the nature around Santa Cruz, it is great having much, much better access to different foods and live music.
