For the S/Lab meeting this week (Monday, 04/12, at 11 am, Zoom link), Vishal Arvindam presented his ongoing work on the processing of anti-local reflexives in Telugu.
Congratulations to alum Boris Harizanov (UCSC Ph.D., 2014), who has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in the Department of Linguistics at Stanford University, effective September 1, 2021!
Jaime Pérez González has accepted a UCSC Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowship to join UC Linguistics in 2021-2022. Jaime will be working to complete a grammar of Mocho’, a severely endangered Mayan language spoken in southern Mexico. He will be mentored by UC faculty member Ryan Bennett.
Pranav Anand, Dan Hardt, and Jim McCloskey‘s paper on “The Santa Cruz sluicing data set” has appeared in Language.
